I've been Tagged

My sweet friend Michelle has tagged me, so here it goes. ..

What were you doing ten years ago?
-10yrs ago I was 12 . ..so I was in middle school, not too exciting I know. I played volleyball & basketball

Favorite snacks: Oh my! This is a hard one because I love to snack!! Let’s see if I can narrow it down to a few . ..
-doritos
-fruit roll-ups
-pickles
-salt & vinegar chips
-cheese nips
-cheese doodles

To Do List:
-clean the house
-fold clothes
-go to the grocery store
-read my Bible
-do Bible study ?’s

Jobs I have had:
-babysitting
-vetinary hospital(Tech)
-YMCA(childcare counselor)

Places I have lived:
-North Carolina

Bad Habits:
-I tend to worry a lot
-always wait ‘til the last minute to do things

5 Random Things people may not Know:
1.)I’ve broken my femur, collar bone, hip & rib all in one fall & got to ride in a helicopter

2.)met ronnie milsap in a waiting room at a georgia hosp.(we talked for about 30min. joking around and cutting up & I had no idea who he was at the time & that he was blind until we left & I was told by my nanny) Incase some of you don’t know who he is either, he was a country music singer that was popular back in the 70’s & 80’s. That’s probably why I didn’t know him, hee hee

3.)I’m afraid of the dark & can’t stay by myself when its dark

4.)I can’t eat corn out of a can it has to be on the cobb & I have to eat macaroni & cheese(not that fake mac & cheese) when it’s steaming hott otherwise I’ll gag if its luke warm or cold

5.)gotten followed home by a trooper for racing and passing in a turning lane(doesn’t go over too well when your daddy is in law enforcement)

-tithe
-buy a house
-new car
-crotch rocket & then learn how to ride it, hee hee
-Shop! Shop! Shop!

Breaking the Piggy Bank

I find myself breaking the piggy bank often. I love to go shopping but I also love shopping online! It’s the greatest!! It totally beats the crowds, standing in line to pay & walking from one end of the mall to the other. Not to mention all the traffic you’re faced with getting there & on the way home. Since I have nothing else to blog about I’ll show you my next purchases online, hee hee

When I went to the beach I saw these adorable green & pink polka dotted luggage/duffle bags. I love them, they’re so cute! I’m not getting all that you see in the picture because I wouldn’t use all of it. . ..HAHA! Yea right! I so totally would. It would take at least one big one to fit all my shoes in then the other two to put my outfits in, hee hee. I have a bad habit of taking more shoes and outfits than I need, but what girl doesn’t?! It’s so hard for me to choose what outfits to take with me so I just pack them all. Then there’s at least 2 pairs of shoes that can go with each outfit but ya never know what mood you’re gonna be in when you get there so again to be on the safe side I just pack them all, hee hee. But anyways, since I can’t afford all of it, I narrowed it down to the large luggage and med. duffle bag. I’ll manage :p

Here’s a cute lil’ purse I ran across. I don’t need another purse but its sooooo cute!!!!!! I like the colors & style of it. Maybe I’ll sell some of mine which will make me feel better about getting this one, hee hee.

Decorate your own Candle

Ok, so almost everyone loves candles. They smell soooo good but when ya think about it sometimes they can look so dull on the outside. Well guess what? NOT ANYMORE! I was on the Tip Junkie website and a lady had put a decorative decal on the outside of the candle. I had never thought about that. It was so cute. But you know me I like to be different so I used scrap booking accessories. They make the cutest gifts and they're so easy! .. and when the candle is finished burning I made it where you can remove the decorations and use them in your own scrap book if you wanted to. My aunt has a birthday coming up and I made her a happy birthday one. I even decorated the topper, hee hee! I put a cake on top of it and get this. ..the candles even light up when you push the button!! So awesome!(remember, I'm easily amused). I made one with flip flops too. Here's some before and after pictures. Take a look & see what ya think. ..

Easily Amused

Yes, easily amused, that's me. Over the weekend my mom and I went to target(one of my favorite places to go). You know as you walk in they always have a section with things that are a $1.00. I love colorful stuff & as I searched I saw this adorable pokie dot plate with a cute lil' square shaped bowl to match. Then I saw the pink & blue cups & bowls which were 4 for a $1.00. I was saddened they didn't have yellow(my favorite color)but the pink & blue will do. I like to use things like this outside when people come over for a party or cookout. They're sturdy and yet not breakable. I bought a long note pad with the days of the week on it that is a magnet for your refrigerator. I figured this would help me keep up with appts. and other things I always forget about. Plus I had never seen a note pad with just the days of the week on it. Then I found these cute pokie dot cards that were 8 for a $1.00. I love to give people cutsie cards. I know they probably throw them away anyway but I don't care they're still cute. Maybe you'll get one, hee hee. .. and if you do I expect to see it in your houses when I come over, haha, Just kidding. But anyways, I thought I would share with you a few things I got. Of course that wasn't all but most of the other stuff was just scrap booking stuff.

"Friendship is the Sweetest Gift"

As I was cleaning the house today I came across this willow tree. They all have sayings and this one happens to mean "Friendship is the Sweetest Gift". As I read that I thought about all of you who I have met, known and talk to. Each one of you has touched my life in a very special way. I'm very thankful and blessed to know such wonderful ladies who are true and faithful. You all encourage me and for that I am grateful. A special thank you to each of you for being such Wonderful, True & Faithful Friends.

Friendship

We grow closer to each other
When we’re closer to the Lord
The common faith that we share
Binds our hearts in one accord

For friendships last a life time
When built on Jesus Christ
Throughout each different season
We find we are in life

Friends are there through times of grief
And times when hope is gone
Always there with encouragement
So we can carry on

So thank the Lord for giving you
A true and faithful friend
To laugh with you, and cry with you
On whom you can depend

For friends will stay no matter what
Giving you support
And together your hearts truly unite
With the love of the Lord

Clipboard Creativity

I saw these really cute and creative clip- boards on the Tip Junkie website and I thought I would try something a lil' different. Instead of painting the whole thing I just painted the corners and all around the edges & let it dry for about an hour then put another coat down & let it dry for an hour. When it dried I glued my choice of scrapbook paper and let that dry for 30 min. & then I used modge podge which I had never used before to paint over the whole clipboard to give it that glossy look and to kinda mold the scrapbook paper to the clipboard. As I let that dry for another 30 min. I took the hot glue gun and glued some pokie dot ribbon across it and tied a bow around the clip at the top. Afterwards I painted my favorite verse(Proverbs 3:5,6) in the corners. On the red and black one I painted a lady bug b/c I'm giving that one to someone who loves lady bugs. But anyways this is how they turned out.

One year ago today. ..

. ..Ryan proposed to me and I wanted to share "The Story of our Engagement" with you.

It all began on Saturday July 21, 2007. I was at my god sister's house and left so I could get ready to see Ryan but apparently I came home too early because Ryan had secretly asked my mom to distract me for awhile. So she took me to Wal-mart to get some groceries while he could "set things up." As I came home I saw that Ryan was already at my house and I wondered why he hadn't came out to help with the groceries. I came into the house and noticed our french door was opened with Ryan no where to be found. My mom told me to walk out there and as I walked onto the deck it was dark outside but I spot Ryan under our gazebo and I said "what are you doing?" He said, "Could you just come down here for a minute." I then noticed rose petals on our deck leading to the steps to a pathway of lit candles which lead to our gazebo that was also surrounded by lit candles all around the railing. As I approach the gazebo(laughing), I heard God Bless the Broken Road playing. At this point I still had no idea what was about to take place. If any of you know Ryan, you know he's a very romantic guy and always comes up with the sweetest things to do even if it is for no particular reason in general or no particular occasion at all. And if you know me, you know I laugh at every thing. Especially when I'm happy, excited, surprised or shocked. So, he instructed me to sit down on the swing(still laughing), and he presented me with the video you see below on his laptop(which he put together all by himself without me knowing). Ok, so after the video I knew what was about to happen & when you watch the end of the video you will too. So after the video we stood up(now crying but still laughing)and he preceded to speak from his heart a few words which then lead him to get down on one knee and ask the question every girl dreams to hear from their one and only true love. It was absolutely so incredibly romantic! He's the sweetest, most kindest & thoughtful person I know and most importantly a Christian who loves the Lord & has a desire to serve the Lord. He encourages me in all that he does & I'm truly blessed to have him & thankful God sent him to me.

As you play the video below please pause my music at the very bottom of my blog so you can hear the music playing on the video.

. ..and a special Thank You to DT productions for helping Ryan get this video together :p

Doodly

Oh how I love this template! Doodly is the name of it. This morning Michelle emailed me a link Leah had given her with free templates and of course they were all just so cute and so many to choose from and you know indecisive me can't make up my mind which one to go with. Anyways, I just picked one to try it out. Well I thought, and again I express the word thought, I knew what I was doing and it comes as no shock that I didn't. I got this really pretty template up but there was nothing on it. Haha go figure. All my post were gone my side bar thingy's my blinkies my texts my links my music, EVERYTHING! By this point I'm past panic. So I email Michelle which is the smartest person I know about blogging and she so graciously helps me out. I finally figured out the problem and got all my stuff back. So I was very thankful and just left it alone.

. ..Well, I start doing some things around the house and I read a lil' and then told my self that I was going to figure out how to get that pretty template on my blog. I was determined and guess what? No I didn't lose everything again. I know what you're thinking, no really I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!! You wouldn't believe how simple it was. Well I'm sure ya'll would because you're smart and well obviously I'm not. Well I do have to give my self some credit for eventually figuring out how to do it. I was just so excited!! and still am! I never would have thought blogging and pretty templates could bring so much happiness to a girl's life, haha. So I'm going to stick with this theme, unless of course another one comes along that I just have to have, hee hee!

My Thought for the Day

As I was doing my daily Bible reading I came across this verse:

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:14-15

...As Christians we have to use all of God's armour to stand against the devil, its the only way to stand. We have to know the truth of God's word and not move from it. We have to have the righteousness of Christ and be prepared always to share the gospel. There are so many different shoes we can wear to travel with the gospel and wear to witness to others. And as I thought about that verse some more It made me think about all the different types of shoes there are. Shoes that give us comfort or express our mood or personality and I figured I would share some of the different styles of shoes I collect. They're miniature collectibles made out of porcelain and unique which makes them look like real shoes but of course they're not real shoes. Their Just the Right Shoe.

Just a few up close

Ok, wanna do something Fun!?
I found this and thought it would go along with my thought for the day.

Flashback Friday

When I was a little girl I loved to play dress up, with barbie's and baby dolls but I loved, loved Polly Pockets!! They were my FAVORITE!!! During my childhood years I accumulated a total of 85 polly pockets. Anything from simple houses, big luxurious houses, hospital, ice cream shop(that actually smelled like strawberries), wedding dress shop, diner, pet shop, beach scene, beach house, supermarket, daycares, school house, water park, church, zoo, vet, post office, forest, boutique, cabin, tree house, fair, hotel, ice skating, pizza place, RV's, horse carriage and polly's cool convertible. You name it I probably got it.
all of them together

Each polly pocket would come with at least 2 polly's or more. Sometimes animals and lil' babies. So if you times all that by 85, well lets just say that's a lot of polly's. But I knew where each polly went & the accessories that came with them. I remember dragging out all those polly pockets & sitting each of them up. In my imaginary world they had to go a certain way & beside a certain other polly pocket. Lets just say I was very picky. Then I would have to take them all down when I was finished and box them all up. My mom would try and help me but after repeatedly hearing me say, "Mom that polly doesnt go with that one.", she just gave up. Of course Polly Pockets have came a long way since the 90's. Polly got a whole lot taller and her places got a whole lot bigger and you can even change her clothes, Ugh!! Mine were the size of peanuts and obviously a hazard to kids, haha.

These were the very first ones I got in each of the styles.

Here are a few of my favorite ones :)
supermarket, really big house, and a treehouse
village with a house, Boutique, playground & a lil' river with a bridge
House, hospital & that ice cream shop that smells like strawberries
wedding dress shop, pet store & diner with a drive thru, ha!
another village with a house, barn, piano area, beach scene, camping area, tree house and playground

...and of course Polly's transportation
horse carriage, 2 RV's & convertible

Do you have any childhood favorites?

Decisions, Decisions

I know its awhile before the wedding but you can't help but get excited and start planning now, especially since I start nursing school in august. Its gonna be hard to find time to plan over all the studying and long hour clinicals so I say, hey, why not start while I do have the time :p

I love the style of this dress! I'm not really into the really big puffy wedding dresses. I like the plain simple ones. I just love the ruffles in this one. But of course I'm so indecisive. Let me know what ya think.

This is a diff. dress but the same style. I like the back of it. And the color you see in the bow is what I was thinkin bout goin with for the bridesmaids.

Here are two flower girl dresses I would consider for the above dresses. But of course not the colors you see in the pic.

I absolutely love this dress! It has all the many buttons that I think are so pretty going down the back of the dress. And the most awesome thing is, is that you dont have to button all the million buttons there are. It zips!!

I like this flower girl dress better than the one I posted before. The other one has a big huge bow on the back of it that I didnt know about. The designs in this one match the designs in the wedding dress. So definitely this one!

Ok now for the bridesmaid dresses. I love the style of the one in the very middle and the ribbon you see in the front flares out in the back or you could turn it where it flares in the front or to the side, kinda like the other dresses show to the left & right of it. Of course I wouldn't use the blue you see in the pic although its a very pretty color. ..Hmmmmmm

What Brianna Means

I came across this on michelle's blog in her older posts & thought it was so cute & I was curious to see what my name meant.
Thanks Michelle, lol.

What Brianna Means

You are full of energy. You are spirited and boisterous.

You are bold and daring. You are willing to do some pretty outrageous things.

Your high energy sometimes gets you in trouble. You can have a pretty bad temper at times.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

Haha! Well that was fun to read.

These made me laugh:
You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you.

These must have been meant for other brianna's who spell their name differently, hehe:
You can have a pretty bad temper at times.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble.
You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
